Our Mission:
The mission of Lord Fairfax Small Business Development Center (LFSBDC) is to foster small business success and grow Virginia's economy.
Assistance is offered in the following areas: business start-up, operation analysis and review for existing businesses, financial management, marketing, business opportunities and requirements for going into business. The SBDC offers the following services: strategic planning, business library, business plans, review of good practices, financial analysis, financial planning and budgeting, licenses and taxes, business loan assistance, marketing, personnel assistance, production planning and control, site location analysis, and sources of financing.
The Lord Fairfax SBDC is located at 7718 Main Street in Middletown. We primarily serve the City of Winchester, and Clarke, Frederick, Northern Shenandoah, and Warren Counties, along with the Towns of Berryville, Boyce, Front Royal, Middletown, Stephens City, Strasburg, and Woodstock.
The Lord Fairfax Small Business Development Center (LFSBDC) is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration. SBA’s funding is not an endorsement of any products, opinions or services. All of LFSBDC's programs and services are offered to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Core Programs:
The Center's core programs include small business seminars, business counseling, operations audit, mystery shopper program, mentoring, and focus groups. We work with people seeking bank loans, SBA guarantee loans, and state loans through Virginia. Besides the loan application process, we work with all types of business registration questions, tax forms, SBA assistance and writing business plans.
The SBDC is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration
and Lord Fairfax Community College.
